FILM CLASSES
Fall Class Schedule
Mondays 5:00-5:45 Until December 12th
Mondays 8:15-9:00 Until December 12th
Wednesdays 8:15-9:00 Until December 14th
Parents are invited to watch their child's recorded scenes the last day of class.
Film Classes are mixed level. Students can work on different within the same class by working on different scripts and skills.
Students achieve 2 levels in the Spring, 1 level in the Fall.
If your child is taking another class(dance, vocal or instrumental lessons, or theater) there is a $20 discount off the prices below.
Young Student's Film Classes Ages 4-8 $55/month
Kids learn beginning film acting skills such as getting to their mark, being animated, focusing during a scene, memorizing and being prepared for an audition, speaking clearly, not looking at the camera and more! Students will play a variety of different characters in various scenes on camera. We will start beginning interview skills for casting directors and agents.
FILM 1-8 CLASSES Ages 9-19 $65/month
In both classes, students will play a variety of roles in varying scenes.
- Work on technical acting skills- making your mark, not looking at the camera, staying in character, speaking clearly, being animated.
- Create characters for their parts in their scenes. We will continue working on interviewing skills for agents and casting directors.
- Listening and reacting with facial expressions, & body language. This is what casting directors look for at auditions! Actors that are reacting and still in character(not over-dramatizing and not just "waiting to say their lines") while they are not speaking! Actor's inner monologue! Listening and inner monologue is one of the hardest skills to learn! Interviewing skills for agents and casting directors will become more concrete.
- Dramatic Story, Different laughs for different characters and more intense scene work.
- Interviewing Skills, Comedic timing and pace
- Work on characters such as nerds, bully, "mean girl", psychopath
- Voiceover & Monologue Skills, Crying on Cue
- Acting for Disney or Nickelodeon.
