Annie Breitling began theater in middle school. She continued through highschool and college. She won numerous acting awards including Best Actress at UIL competition. Her favorite roles include Millie in Picnic and Juliet in Romeo and Juliet.
From 2009-2010, Annie taught acting classes at Christian Educators Resource Center in Rowlett, Texas. While there, she directed and produced "Clowns' Play" and "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe", with children ages 5-18.
In 2010, Annie Breitling founded and started her own Theater in Garland. The theater's first show, in Spring 2010, was "Peter Pan", which Annie wrote, directed, and produced. Since then, she has produced and directed over 30 productions, writing two and co-writing two plays.
In Summer 2014, Annie wrote, produced and directed her first Feature Film, Mom's Not Home.
She performs in traveling plays in the summer, most recently she played the evil step-mother & the fairy God Mother in Cinderella.
Breitling has six children. Her love of children combined with her love of theater has created a balance that cannot be matched! Annie is a Board Director, Director, Producer, and Writer for Breitling Youth Theater.

Jerry Walkerhas been building sets for Breitling Performing Arts for more than 5 years. He has done sets for 26 shows with BYT. Along with building the sets, he has helped out with the Concession Stand, set changes, prop building, and keeping things running smoothly during the shows. He is an invaluable asset. Jerry has one son, who participated in 13+ shows. Jerry enjoys helping people. He has worked in home remodeling and restoration for over 19 years and his former contractor in Florida boasts of his character as being honest, reliable, on-time, and a hard worker that customers were always happy with. Jerry was the Director of Photography for the feature film, Mom's Not Home.

About Breitling Performing Arts
Brittanie Scontrino has been assisting Annie Breitling since January 2009, when Annie was teaching at CERC in Rowlett. When Breitling Youth Theater began in 2010, Brittanie continued to assist in a wide range of duties. She works with students during the classes using theater games and memorization techniques to help them run through scenes. She choreographs for the musicals. She orders wigs, and props for the shows. She assists with parent meetings and office work. Brittanie designs the lighting and sound for the shows. During the performances, Brittanie assists with set and costume changes, helping with the younger kids, and running the concession stand. Brittanie wrote one of our summer camp productions, "Snow White". She has worked tech crew for 29 theater productions as well as acted in 24 of those. She has also acted in 1 short film and 1 feature film, working tech for the latter.

Alice Frederick –Director, Teacher, Costume Designer
Alice Frederick is a teacher, designer, writer, and home schooling mother of two. Alice received a Bachelors of Science in English and History and taught Elementary and High School in the public schools for several years. She went on to obtain a Masters in Education. After marriage and two children, Alice took the job of Children’s Director at a large church in Dallas. At Breitling Performing Arts, Alice designs costumes, writes scripts, directs summer camps, and teaches homeschool classes in our theater building. Alice has been involved in theater and costuming from a very young age. She would go to the library and study period costume books in the reference area during her elementary years and performed with her family’s traveling play and in a multitude of school productions.
Greg Michniak has been teaching theatre for 12 years. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an Acting Concentration from UT Austin and a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Dallas Baptist University. Greg is a Certified Academic Language Therapist and Licensed Dyslexia Therapist. Greg and Amy have been married for 16 years and have 5 five children (4 girls and 1 boy). He has directed over 20 theater productions and was awarded the Camp Newbie Award at Shelton for the Upper School Favorite Teacher. He currently works at St. Pius X School in Dallas. Greg likes using his gifts and talents to change the world for the better.
Josh Hampton has been teaching voice and piano for eleven years. He has been married eight years to his wife Joy. Josh received his Bachelor’s of Music in Vocal Performance from Abilene Christian University. He has performed regularly in the NATS Southwestern Division and in several major choral works and operas. Josh loves sharing music with others, and to date has worked with students ages 4 to 70.

Nick Jones- Guitar Teacher
Nick Jones has many years of experience in playing the guitar. He is trained in Classical, Latin Jazz, Gypsy Jazz, Son Montuno, Swing, Rock, Rhumba, Reggae, and Flamenco guitar styles. He also plays the piano and is currently learning the jazz bass guitar. Nick has work with all ages of children and presently tutors students in the DCCCD college system. He performs weekly in local cafes and is frequently asked to play in weddings and various festivals. Nick loves to share his knowledge and see others succeed in music.
Katherine Sloan is currently a Senior at Garland High School. She has studied tap dance for 12 years, attended several master classes, and studied for 6 years under the tutelage of former Broadway dancer Misty Owens. Katherine has always loved to tap dance!!! She also loves working with children, and has volunteered in the children’s program at her church, and at Breitling Youth Theater for many years. She is very excited to be teaching at Breitling Youth Theater!
